Honolulu, Hawaii—As part of a new marketing strategy by the HTA (Hawaii Tourism Authority) for the “Meet Hawaii” initiative, HVCB (Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau) combined its three websites into one, with the help of PRTech. PRTech combined the websites—HawaiiConvention, BusinessAloha, and MeetHawaii—under one URL in English: WWW.MEETHAWAII.COM
The new HVCB website creates a unified brand message similar to HTA and other related organizations’ designs which promote Hawaii. It also simplifies online searches and information for the MCI (Meeting, Convention, and Incentives) market, and is anticipated to attract more large meetings and conventions to Hawaii’s Convention Center.
“Now there is one point of contact for someone interested in hosting an event or convention,” said Yumiko Tsustumi, PRTech Project Manager, who was the project lead. “This helped simplify the process and communications with HVCB and better project its brand.” PRTech previously developed the HawaiiConvention website in English, Japanese, Korean and Chinese; and the BusinessAloha website in Japanese, Korean, and in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.
“Combining websites is never an easy task, said Andrew Bailey, Coordinator, Online Marketing, Hawaii Visitors and Convention Bureau. “PRTech provided amazing support on creating a ‘one-stop’ shop for bringing business meetings to the Hawaiian Islands.”
PRTech will also develop HVCB’s international sites in Japanese, Korean, and Chinese.
